FTSE BURSA MALAYSIA KLCI CONSTITUENTS UNCHANGED AFTER DECEMBER SEMI-ANNUAL REVIEW
- No changes to FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI
- Seven new constituents to be added to FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index
- Two new constituents to be added to FTSE Bursa Malaysia Hijrah Shariah Index
FTSE Group (FTSE), the global index provider, and Bursa Malaysia Berhad (Bursa Malaysia) have confirmed there will be no changes to the constituents of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI, following the semi-annual review of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series today.
The index series is reviewed semi-annually in accordance with the index ground rules.
Part of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI is widely used by investors as the primary benchmark for the Malaysian market, and is tracked by a wide range of investment products, including the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI ETF, FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Futures (FKLI), FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Options (OKLI) and other index-linked financial products.
The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI reserve list, comprising the five highest ranking non-constituents of the index by market capitalisation, will be YTL Power International, Gamuda, Westports Holdings, Hap Seng Consolidated and IJM Corporation. The reserve list will be used in the event that one or more constituents are deleted from the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI during the period up to the next semi-annual review.

All constituent changes take effect at the start of business on 22 December 2014 and the next review will take place on 4 June 2015.
