What are the required documents?
Submit the following documents to an Authorised Depository Agent (ADA/Broker) nearest to you in Malaysia for verification:
Original or certified true copy of the Death Certificate; and
Original or certified true copies of the GOP/LA or Distribution Order (Borang E) or Direction Letter from Amanah Raya Berhad; and
Original NRIC/Passport of the executor/administrator/beneficiary.
Note:
The GOP/LA obtained from other countries has to be duly resealed in the High Court of Malaysia.
Certified true copy of documents must be certified by a Notary Public or an Advocate & Solicitor or any one of the authorised officer(s) of the Authorised Depository Agent (ADA/Broker) in Malaysia.

It is also applicable for the executor/administrator/beneficiary who is residing outside Malaysia where the relevant form(s) will be sent for his/her execution before Notary Public. |
Why Account Statement is important?
For the purpose of obtaining Distribution/Direction/Court Order, the account statement is required by:
Department of Director General of Land and Mines (Estate Distribution Unit) for issuance of Distribution Order.
Amanah Raya Berhad for issuance of Direction Letter.
The PR/Lawyer is advised to quote in general "All securities maintained with Bursa Malaysia" in either the GOP or LA.
