Approach to Materiality and Stakeholder Engagement
Approach on Materiality and Stakeholder Engagement
Approach to Materiality
In accordance with our strategic planning cycle, we conduct comprehensive materiality analyses every three years, to identify, understand and prioritise the economic, environmental and social issues that matter most to our business and stakeholders. Our materiality approach represents a core component of our sustainability management process as it helps to align our strategies, performance management and reporting. We also carry out an annual pulse check on the material matters to ensure the issues identified reflect evolving stakeholder priorities and our impact creation potential, as well as to help us anticipate relevant megatrends. The last comprehensive materiality assessment was conducted in 2020. To read about our material matters, please visit our Sustainability Reports.
Approach to Stakeholder Engagement
We interact with a large number of stakeholder groups and our engagements with them are crucial to help us identify, prioritise and address material matters in our business. Stakeholder engagements are carried out on a regular basis, as they are integral to our business development, relationships with stakeholders and our overall commitment to sustainability. By allowing forums for transparent engagements which create an environment in which the stakeholders can have their say, we believe that we will be able to create long-term value for these stakeholders.
