The FBM KLCI index gained 8.29 points or 0.52% on Tuesday. The Finance Index increased 0.58% to 17525.08 points, the Properties Index climbed 1.58% to 1043.06 points and the Plantation Index rose 0.63% to 7439.65 points. The market traded within a range of 9.66 points between an intra-day high of 1610.32 and a low of 1600.66 during the session.
Actively traded stocks include INGENIEU, TWL, ICONIC, HSI-CXG, MYEG, ICONIC-WA, CAPITALA, HSI-HUT, VELESTO and FITTERS. Trading volume increased to 5424.26 mil shares worth RM3793.18 mil as compared to Monday’s 4477.65 mil shares worth RM3118.07 mil. Leading Movers of the KLCI index were MRDIY (+7 sen to RM1.77), HLFG (+42 sen to RM17.52), AXIATA (+6 sen to RM2.91), HLBANK (+36 sen to RM19.70) and IOICORP (+5 sen to RM4.08).
Lagging Movers were YTLPOWR (-3 sen to RM4.88), CDB (-1 sen to RM4.10), QL (-1 sen to RM6.57), TM (-0 sen to RM6.26) and GENTING (-0 sen to RM4.49). Market breadth was positive with 684 gainers as compared to 455 losers.
