The FBM KLCI index gained 13.91 points or 0.89% to 1571.32 points on Wednesday. The Finance Index increased 0.96% to 16468.43 points, the Properties Index climbed 0.72% to 688.24 points and the Plantation Index rose 0.46% to 7941.2 points. The market traded within a range of 17.06 points between an intra-day high of 1571.32 and a low of 1554.26 during the session.
Actively traded stocks include DNEX , HSI-CQW, BSLCORP, HSI-CQ2, WIDAD, PASUKGB, HIBISCS, HSI-HM7, PBBBANK and SMTRACK. Trading volume decreased to 2593.43 mil shares worth RM2711.36 mil as compared to Tuesday’s 2696.76 mil shares worth RM2504.80 mil.
Leading Movers were INARI (+14 sen to RM2.94), CIMB (+21 sen to RM5.30), PMETAL (+24 sen to RM6.36), MAXIS (+11 sen to RM4.19) and DIALOG (+6 sen to RM2.72). Lagging Movers were HARTA (-14 sen to RM4.57), TOPGLOV (-5 sen to RM1.75), KLK (-36 sen to RM25.82), MAYBANK (-23 sen to RM8.90) and NESTLE (-100 sen to RM135.00). Market breadth was positive with 732 gainers as compared to 263 losers.
