Overview

Bursa Direct Access ("BDA") is an open interface facility provided to Bursa Malaysia’s Participating Organisations (“PO”) for the purpose of deploying customised Order Management System (“OMS”). POs have the options of either develop an in-house OMS or engaged an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) from the list of certified ISVs. BDA provides both the order routing and market information functionalities via the Market Message Transfer Protocol (“MMTP”).

How this is done

ISVs or POs may develop their own customised OMS and connect directly to the exchange-maintained access points using the native interface known as MMTP. From these access points, the orders will be sent to the trading engine, whilst routing execution notices and market data will be routed back to these access points and sent to the OMS. Interested ISVs and POs can contact us for the technical specifications, MMTP API Libraries and message specifications.
