Compliance

Bursa Malaysia has established a Legislation Compliance Guideline (Guideline) to provide a uniform approach in ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, rules and guidelines which may impact Bursa Malaysia as an entity. The Guideline led to the establishment of a Legislation Compliance Register (LCR) which records all legal obligations imposed on Bursa Malaysia. The Guideline not only outlines the roles, responsibilities and accountabilities of relevant parties to observe compliance with all applicable laws, rules and guidelines, it also requires that the LCR be updated regularly to incorporate new applicable legislation.

There were no monetary fines or non-monetary sanctions for non-compliance with laws and regulations, including those in relation to environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters, in 2018.
