Description

Bryan T. Durkin has served as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group since 2014. He is responsible for ensuring that the company delivers the best possible customer experience to maximize satisfaction and retention, while reaching new and evolving markets with core and new product and service offerings to increase the company’s global growth and profitability.

As CCO, Durkin leads the Global Client Service and Development Division, which includes the company’s International Business, Client Development and Sales, Business Development, Co-location and Technology Services, Information Products, Index Services, Marketing, Research and Product Development. He also is President of GFX Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of CME Group that provides liquidity in foreign exchange futures.

Durkin previously served as Chief Operating Officer since 2007. As part of his responsibilities, he led the global integrations following CME’s merger with the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) in 2007 and CME Group’s acquisition of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) in 2008.

Before joining CME Group, Durkin served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the CBOT. Prior to that role, he was in charge of the CBOT’s Office of Investigations and Audits where he oversaw the audits, financial surveillance, trade practice and market surveillance self-regulatory and enforcement divisions for the exchange. His career with both CME Group and CBOT spans more than 30 years.

Durkin serves on the Board of Directors of CME Europe, the company’s London-based exchange, and Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad. He is a member of the COMEX Governors Committee and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Technology Advisory Committee and Energy and Environmental Markets Advisory Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the CME Group Community Foundation and the Board of Advisors of Misericordia.

Durkin holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from Lewis University. He has been an adjunct faculty member of Lewis University’s MBA program, teaching courses in organizational behavior and management.

Description

Bill Herder is currently the Head of Asia-Pacific, Futures Industry Association (FIA) Asia. Bill Herder had been in the role since March 2012. He has over 20 years of experience in the listed derivatives industry, most recently as the regional head of operations – Asia Pacific for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). Earlier in his career, he served in front, middle and back office management positions at various trading firms and software vendors including Trading Technologies, SunGard Futures Systems and BNP Securities (USA) Inc. Bill Herder has extensive experience in the futures and options business and has been a key participant in the development of processes and systems for the electronic trading and clearing of exchange traded derivatives. He has resided in Singapore since 2007.

Bill Herder received an MBA in Finance and Economics from University of Rochester.
